Competitive Soccer Overview


Rogers United Soccer (RUSC) is a small, community-based soccer club that provides opportunities for boys and girls between the ages of 8-18 to play traveling soccer in leagues sponsored by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA)

RUSC is ideal for recreational soccer players looking for a more competitive experience, multi-sport athletes, or families interested in a competitive club soccer experience that provides some flexibility in their schedules. 

RUSC does try to keep core teams together from year to year. We register players first and build our teams based on who registers.  This allows us to register as many players are possible, and create teams based on registrations received but it does not guarantee a team will be formed for your child.

RUSC offers an alternative to larger traveling soccer clubs by providing:

  • A more affordable experience than most other traveling soccer clubs, making competitive soccer more accessible to the youth of Rogers and surrounding areas.
  • Team-centered club were core players stay together as a team so they can continue to develop.  We do not re-organize teams each season - growth as a team is as important as growth for an individual
  • A commitment to skill development in a supportive environment.


What is the competitive soccer season timeline?                                                        

  • Player Evaluations are held in July to form teams for the following year        
  • A $150 commitment fee is required to secure a spot on a team
  • Commitment registrations from evaluations form possible teams we can offer
  • Most teams start indoor practices around February (team driven)
  • MYSA season begins in Late April
  •  MYSA season ends in early July

  • Team winter training in our indoor facility, the RITZ
  • Spring/summer practice and game fields
  • MYSA league and player registration
  • Referees and player insurance
  • One tournament registration (up to $629)
    no cash value if the team does not use
  • All RUSC administrative costs

 

  
  • Uniforms that are purchased individually
  • Team Fees (see below)
  • Coach travel expenses
  • Tournament expenses in excess of the Club Allowance

Team Fees:
$50 to $250 per player.  

Fees vary by team and can include a paid coach, additional training, or competitions., shuttle bus fees, etc.  Team fees are collected during the registration process and are not refundable
